Teaching English is not just my profession—it is my passion and purpose. From the very beginning of my academic journey, I immersed myself in an English-speaking academic environment, where I not only honed my language skills but also cultivated a deep understanding of the art and science of teaching. My commitment to excellence led me to rigorously study pedagogy, linguistics, and language assessment, all of which have played a crucial role in shaping and continually refining the quality of my courses. This dedication was recognized when I achieved the 39th national rank in the MA entrance exam for the TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) program—a milestone that reflects both my academic diligence and deep-rooted passion for education. Above all, I devote myself wholeheartedly to my students, striving to inspire, support, and guide them at every step of their learning journey. For me, teaching is not just about transferring knowledge—it’s about making a lasting impact.

Being accepted into the TEFL program at Sharif University marks a significant milestone in my journey. I am filled with gratitude and excitement as I embark on this path to strengthen my professional skills in teaching English as a foreign language.
I earned my bachelor’s degree in English language and literature from Semnan University. Studying at this esteemed university not only enriched my own knowledge but also significantly elevated my students’ proficiency levels, as mentioned earlier.
I completed a forty-hour teacher training course led by Ms. Nasim Afsari, one of the most dedicated and exceptional educators I’ve encountered.
Working at such a professional English institute and helping students develop strong communication skills has been both inspiring and deeply rewarding as a teacher.
Gofteman Bartar, also known as LingoLand Institute, is a distinguished IELTS language school founded by Professor Afsari of Semnan University, renowned for its expertise in English proficiency training.
I have been working here as an English advisor and translator.
I worked here as an English teacher for about two years, training students from elementary to high school.
Royan Institute is a bilingual kindergarten where I gained my first experience in teaching students under 6 years old.
A year before entering university to pursue my bachelor’s degree, I began offering private classes, teaching English to students from diverse backgrounds. My students ranged in age from three years old to fifty-five.
Initially, I was hired as a sales representative, but within just four months, I received a promotion to work as a sales director. In that role, I oversaw and trained sales teams. While I’ve always excelled in sales, my passion lies in teaching English, so I decided to shift my focus and leave the sales position.
Eclecticism, which leads to modernity, suggests that a good language teacher should be well-versed in the various historical language teaching methods—such as GTM, ALM, SW, and TPR. However, the journey doesn’t end there. The next step is the Post method, where teachers selectively draw upon the strengths of different approaches and create their own personalized method based on research and experience. Yet, this is just the beginning. A truly effective teacher remains dynamic and stays informed about the latest teaching techniques and materials. It’s this commitment to modernity that keeps my learners satisfied
Applying a single method to all students is not advisable. Therefore, my initial step is to understand each student’s background, strengths, weaknesses, needs, skills, and interests. This personalized approach allows me to select the most practical teaching techniques and materials tailored to each student’s level. As a result, every student receives a customized learning plan that suits them best. Not only does this accelerate their learning process, but it also enhances their motivation, self-confidence, and communication abilities.
During the course I had with these learners, I received numerous love letters and paintings. They touched me so deeply that I decorated my room with their heartfelt creations. Teaching these energetic learners was one of my most exciting experiences. In the photo you see, we held a lively party after their midterm exam to encourage them to learn even more.
This photo was taken during the days when we were all grappling with the impact of the Coronavirus. In that session, we came together to create face masks and engage in a meaningful conversation.
In this photo, my dear Sepita and I are on the jungle gym. She was one of the students who had unfortunately lost interest in English due to previous teachers. During our class, I decided to forgo textbooks and instead rekindle her enthusiasm for English using games, songs, movies, and paintings. Remarkably, after just a few sessions, her interest was reignited, and she began attending voluntarily, not out of obligation. By the end of the course, she was fully prepared to continue her learning journey with a textbook.
These two smiling girls, my dear Peransa and Shahrzad, warm my heart. Witnessing their joy during our sessions always brings me immense happiness. In this photo, taken at Kimia playing house in Semnan, we celebrated their success on the final exam.
Dear Mahdiar and Yasin are among the most endearing brothers I’ve encountered. Mahdiar, the younger one, has studied the “Family and Friends” books with me, while Yasin has delved into “Prospects,” a high school-level resource. Initially, I focused solely on teaching Mahdiar, as Yasin harbored a dislike for English. However, Yasin’s interest was piqued when he observed me instructing his brother. Inspired, he has embarked on his own English journey. The satisfaction of welcoming another bright student into our community of English learners fills me with joy.
Dear Kian is one of the cutest and most diligent students I’ve ever had. He began learning English with me when he was seven, and in this photo, he’s ten years old. His fluency at his age and level is remarkable, and I always delight in his native-like accent.
My dearest Mahta successfully completed Touchstone 2, and now we’re working through Touchstone 3 together. Despite being a part-time student, she manages both her studies and work exceptionally well. I’m immensely proud of her progress and deeply admire her dedication. By the way, she scored a perfect 100 out of 100 on her final exam, which filled me with overwhelming happiness.
My dear Behnaz and I completed Touchstone 1 together, and now we’ve begun Touchstone 2. Initially, she showed little interest in writing, so I refrained from assigning her any writing tasks. I even avoided having her hold a pen during our sessions. However, by the end of Touchstone 1, she surprised me with an incredibly well-written composition.
